Texas Sunset

It was a cold and windy day on South Padre Island.

We had left Arizona as a cold front moved in and headed for the Gulf of Mexico to find some sunny skies, warm water and sandy beaches.

This was our second day in paradise but somehow someone forgot to let the weather channel know we were coming.

As we drove down the Rio Grande there were promises of gorgeous weather and crystal clear waters.

Instead… overcast, gloomy, WINDY, and precipitation coming down in a horizontal fashion.

So, we did what every good tourist would do.

Sleep in, leisurely brunch and visited the Turtle Museum

As the afternoon wore on the weather lightened up and we headed to the beach for a stroll.

And found a Texas sunset the perfect end to a cold wet, windy day.
